Ultrasonic Sensor SMD-1035
1. Advantages of ultrasonic sensors
①Simple structure, convenient manufacturing, and low cost.
②Ultrasonic has strong penetrating power to rain, and snow, and can work in inclement weather.
③Ultrasound is not sensitive to light and color and can be used to identify transparent and poorly reflective objects.
④It is not easy to be interfered with by the environmental electromagnetic field.
2. Disadvantages of ultrasonic sensors
① Ranging speed is not as good as laser ranging and millimeter wave ranging.
②Ultrasonic has a certain diffusion angle, it can only measure distance, not azimuth, so it can only be used at low speed (such as parking), and multiple ultrasonic sensors must be installed on the front and rear bumpers of the car in different directions.
③ Both the transmitted signal and the after-vibration signal will cover or interfere with the echo signal. Therefore, the detection function will be lost after a certain distance. This is one of the reasons why the detection distance of an ordinary ultrasonic sensor must be greater than 30cm, if it is less than At this distance, the system cannot detect obstacles. Therefore, a better solution is to install the camera while installing the ultrasonic sensor.
